Yet another nail blog post...

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. In May you need to get your hands on the new Sally Hansen nail polishes. (32 to be precise.) Not only are there loads of amazing colours, but the formula means you don't need to apply a base or top coat - it's already mixed into the colour. Amazing hey?

I heart Forever 21

I had my first shopping experience in Forever 21 in New York about two years ago. I instantly fell in love. The range of super stylish pieces at Primark prices was just amazing. I think I spent at least two hours in the store; it was a great fashion discovery. So when I heard F21 was coming to the UK you can imagine my excitement! Now, here we are over six months on and very soon it's coming to London and I cannot wait. Don't get me wrong I love the online store, but nothing beats in-store shopping!

I went to their A/W press day a week ago, and here's a sneak peak at their new collection.

Statement necklaces, printed tops and stylish shorts.

Sequins jackets, cute accessories and my fave, baby pink party dress.

The tribal trend will be back.. and it will be bigger and better than ever!

Boho prints, layered jewellery and gillet jackets. Is it wrong to say bring on autumn?!

First time for shapewear...

As a lover of all things fashion and beauty, I'm even surprised myself that I have never tried shapewear in any kind of form. Some of my friends and family have tried them, and told me they instantly make you feel better - I mean, losing up to a dress size just from wearing some high-waisted pants, come on, who's not gona love these?!

So when Tights Please sent me some amazing shapewear by Trinny and Susannah I could not wait to try them out! I have to admit, I was slightly apprehensive at first, and not sure what to expect, they claimed to 'Slim the tum, bum and thighs' - could they really be as good as I had hoped?

The shapewear came up to my bra at the top, which held in my stomach and magically smoothed out my sides, creating a natural curve. The bottom part came half way down my thighs, holding them in at the top and instantly making them look thinner and more toned!

I wore the shapewear under a nude dress for a night out with some friends- I was going to wear a navy one, but I was worried you would be able to see them through; I have to admit, these aren't the most flattering of undies! I did instantly feel slimmer and more confident, and they stayed up and down in all the right places, as I was previously worried about having to pull them up (at the top) and down (at the bottom)!

For my first time, I was very pleased with the Magic Knickers they definitely do what they say on the packet, and for £26, I think this is a fair price.

Original Magic Knickers come in 9 different styles, in a range of colours, starting from £26. Stocked nationwide and online at www.trinnyandsusannah.com  & www.Tightsplease.co.uk

Every nail colour under the rainbow!

I love trying out new nail colours; pastels, brights or nail art, I'm up for testing anything! I couldn't have asked for a better end to my week when I received this amazing Rimmel Nail box last week contain 48 different polishes.

An amazing selection of colours including Rimmel 60 Seconds, I Love Lasting Finish and Lycra Pro Memory.

My favourite shade at the moment is Rimmel Professional Finish in 420 Aqua Cool. I applied two coats, for an intense colour, but I think one colour would still create a cute pastel shade.

I will post some pics from my new Rimmel collection later this week!

Rimmel Lycra Pro Memory, £4.59, Rimmel 60 Seconds, £3.69, Rimmel I Love Lasting Finish, £2.99

my FAVOURITE tan ever...

I cannot explain how much I am loving the Sienna X tans at the mo. To put it simply, here's my top five reasons why:

  1. In just one application you can get an instant, natural looking tan
  2. It smells amazing
  3. I have never got a streak from applying, even when in a rush!
  4. It lasts for 5 -7 days
  5. You can apply to your face too

Make a Statement

My diary has been full of A/W press day invites recently; and I'm in two minds about them. I love them, because seeing what's going to be hitting stores next season is always exciting, but on the other hand, looking at winter coats and boots isn't fun when we're only just seeing the start of summer!

When I went to see the new River Island collection last week, I instantly fell in love with these studded beauties!

The high heel shouts elegant style, but the studs scream fierce fashionista. And thanks to these, I am now looking forward to seeing the rest of next season's collections!

Hello Spring!

I think it's safe to say that Spring is here (well, very nearly)! One of my fave things about summer time is trying out new nail shades....

These colours are Revlon Minted and Lilac Pastelle... two of my fave shades. TIP: The lilac needs at least two coast (I had three) to make the colour stronger, and last longer!

I am loving...

I love trying out new nail colours and will wear pretty much any colour... from shocking pink to baby blue I have pretty much every colour under the sun! Although, I did try gold the other day and I think I need a tan to work it! But, I have found something which might just cure my nail colour obsession... these are a-mazing! Simply stick onto your nail and file down to the right shape! No drying time required. The last time I painted my nails I chipped the colour the following morning, fingers crossed these last a little bit longer...

New product alert!

I'm always up for trying something new when it comes to beauty products. Whether I'm being promised 'instantly glowing skin' or 'zap those zits in hours' I up for giving it a go! So when I heard about the new LMS (Love My Skin) Spotlights, I couldn't wait to get my hands on one! The small compact sized products use red light therapy to clear spots simply by shining onto the problem area(s) for one minute, three times a day! And yes, it really is as simple as it sounds!

Although I wouldn't say I have problem skin, I am prone to the odd spot or two, but this rapidly reduces the size and redness of spots in hours!Available in three different sizes from http://www.lmsspotlights.com/ well worth a try!

Hello!

Well firstly, hello and thank you for taking the time to check out my new blog!! I've been meaning to set one up for a while now, and have only just got round to it!

So as you probably know, I am the Fashion and Beauty Assistant at Bliss magazine which I absolutely LOVE! Not only do I get to go to lots of amazing launches; seeing next season's clothes before they hit stores and try new beauty products before they hit the shelves, I get to work with some very exciting people too!

Because of my job, I also have a big shopping habit! From a quick trip to Topshop at lunch time, to a four hour shopping spree, I can't get enough of it! Luckily today is pay day so I've got a feeling my bank card will be over-used in the next couple of days!

It's exciting times for me at the moment because myself and five girl friends have just booked a holiday! After searching for what felt like weeks, we've finally booked a gorgeous villa in Portugal for the beginning of August and I-CANNOT-WAIT!!!! I know it's still over six months away, but at least it's something exciting to look forward to!

That's it for today, I'm off to tend to my new addiction; Tool Academy! I'm obsessed!!
